The surface of the substrate must be solid, smooth and free of sharp protrusions. The Ruvimat GR15 membrane should be separated from incompatible substrates by laying the separation layer to prevent accelerated aging. It is necessary to prevent contact with all materials containing bitumen, grease, tar, oils, solvents, as well as to exclude direct contact with polymeric materials from polystyrene, polyurethane, polyisocyanate, phenol-containing foams, which can greatly affect the properties of the material.
The temperature of the Ruvimat GR15 can be used in areas where the minimum ambient temperature is -25 ° C. The constant ambient temperature should be no more than +50 ° C.
Compatibility is not permissible for direct contact with polymers of other groups, eg: polystyrene foam, polyurethane, polyisocyanates, phenol-containing foams. It is not compatible with materials containing bitumen, grease, tar, oils, solvents.
In accordance with the current instruction for the installation of roofing systems of all types (ballast, adhesive and with mechanical fastening) using a Ruvimat membrane, the fixing method: Free laying and mechanical fastening. The webs of the waterproofing membrane are laid freely and mechanically fastened to the base along the edge of the roll in the overlap zone of the canvas or outside this zone. Adjacent zones are glued along the entire surface. The roofing membrane is glued to the base with a contact adhesive Ruvimat C733. Stitches are welded with hot air or with the method of “cold welding”. Welding technology: The seams are welded together with the help of electric welding equipment, hot air welding machines and manual welding devices (foams) with the use of in-rollers with the possibility of adjusting the air temperature to not less than + 600 ° C. Recommended type of equipment: manual welding machine Leister Triac PID automatic welding machine Leister Varimat. The welding parameters, including the temperature and flow rate of hot air, the speed of the welding machine, the pressure on the membrane, must be selected and checked, depending on weather conditions and the type of welding equipment on the construction site immediately before welding.
The width of the weld should be at least 20 mm. Quality control of the welded joint is done with a screwdriver after the joint has completely cooled down. All unsealed seats should be repaired by welding with hot air. if the weather conditions allow the “cold welding” of the membranes with Ruvimat Welding Agent welding fluid, this is allowed for Ruvimat membranes with mechanical fastening. The effective width of the welded joint with the cold welding method should be at least 30 mm. After checking the tightness of welded joints made by the “cold welding” method, they are additionally treated with liquid PVC.
Тhe installation of PVC-membranes can only be made by stackers, training in Ruvimat. Temperature restrictions on the laying of PVC-membranes: Base temperature: min. -10 ° C / max. +60 ° C – for hot air welding min. +5 ° C / max. +60 ° C – for “cold” welding Air temperature: min. -5 ° C / max. +60 ° C – for hot air welding min. +5 ° C / max. +60 ° C – for “cold” welding Applications of chemical components such as contact adhesive / membrane cleaner, possibly at an ambient temperature of at least +5 ° C. Please see the technical description for this material. When installing at temperatures below + 5 ° C, special measures may be taken in accordance with local regulations.
